At GENESIS, there is a place for everyone and the opportunity exists for a new beginning regardless of who you are or where you have been. There are no pews, or fancy dress codes, just a setting that focuses on Jesus Christ and celebrates life. GENESIS exists for anyone who desires a new beginning, a place to belong, and wants to experience the love of God and God’s people.

WORSHIP: Every Sunday Morning at 8:45 a.m.

BIBLE STUDY: “New Life In Christ” Sunday nights at 5:00 p.m. A Biblical approach to life today with motivation and encouragement, as well as instruction for living in the world without being of the world. Drop in at any time and find hope for a better life, strength for the road to get there, and the joy of sharing this experience with others just like you.

LIFE SKILLS programs are offered at GENESIS free of charge and are designed to help better your life.
The following classes are offered as needed and scheduled by appointment. To set up a time for the following classes call 256-571-9000:

ANGER MANAGEMENT-Learn to deal with anger and frustrations. Christian emphasis.

PARENTING-For parents of children & teens, married, single and those going through a divorce learn fun and creative ways to spend time with your children, discipline, caring for infants and children, building self-esteem, setting limits and more. Christian emphasis.

FINANCIAL PLANNING-Learn basic money management principles: paying bills; living on your salary; credit cards and debt; ways to save money and more. Christian emphasis.

JOB PREPARATION-Learn how to complete a job application or resume; doing ajob search; interview skills; dressing for success; communication; time management; on-the-job conduct. Christian emphasis.

ADULT READING & WRITING-Gain skills essential for success and learn to read and write. For any age adult at any level.

TUTORING FOR KINDERGARTEN – 12TH GRADE-Help with homework and subject skills. Support through tutoring and prayer.

ALSO AT GENESIS:

AL-ANON/ALATEEN—Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. In Al-Anon and Alateen, members share their own experience, strength, and hope with each other. You will meet others who share your feelings and frustrations, if not your exact situation. We come together to learn a better way of life, to find happiness whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY- Thursdays 5:30 p.m. Food/Fellowship…..6:00 p.m. Praise/Worship….7:30 p.m. Small Groups. Celebrate Recovery is a nationally recognized 12-step Biblically based recovery program from all of life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
